Shown winal JTM-45, only better ! This is an incredibly fun amp to play that has the tones of Beano era Clapton as well as early AC/DC and ZZ Top…and many others. Amazing cleans to to the best crunchy over driven sounds. Controlled low end response, broad range EQ, touch sensitivity and exceptional 3D balance.
Output transformer :
2019 and newer amps see the return of the Radio Spares output transformer which was used on the first JTM-45 production through early 1965. The OT is hardwired for 16 ohm use allowing you to use either 8 ohm or 16 ohm cabinets. Note: from year 2016 s/n 142, through year 2018 s/n 158, Classic 45 models were equipped with the Drake 784-103 output transformer. Previous to 2016, the Radio Spares unit was used.
Power transformer : Drake 1202-118 and Drake choke 352-114 supplied by Heyboer are used on production models. Voltage taps for Europe are accessible on back panel.
Each amp I personally hand build with the best current production components as well as choice selected surplus parts. Chassis is spot welded aluminum, premium tube sockets, CTS pots, heavy duty switches and fuse holders. Perforated turret boards, SoZo film/foil caps are used and F & T or JJ filter capacitors.
Each Classic 45 is faithfully assembled as an original. Let the pictures do the talking !
